We purchased a Grade 2 Listed Cottage in Newcastle. First time purchasing Listed and in a conservation area, we didn't no where to start. Very lengthy and complicated planning process dealing with Council. PJC were recommended to us. From the point of meeting us at the property for the first time to getting our planning permission through we have had a great experience with the team. To keep costs down we are project managing works and needed to rely on PJC to guide, support and advise us on absolutely everything from list of works to recommended contractors. PJC guided us through a significant new-build project, from initial ideas through to successful planning approval and they continued to support us throughout the development. As we approach our 70's my wife and I decided to find a place we could call home. We finally found a place that really needed a lot of TLC to get it how we wanted it and to fool proof it as much as possible we got older. We are now halfway through 6 month refurbishment and PJC have been with us from the very start. From generating ideas on layout and raising things we had not even thought about. They guided us through all the required paperwork and obtained quotes from builders for us and now attend on site to monitor progress weekly as well as undertaking and end of month review for the stage payments. They identified an excellent builder and negotiated prices and contract on our behalf with no up front payment and sensible stage payments. They will be with us through to the end and a final payment will only be made once they have identified any snagging work and confirmed it has been properly sorted. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
